1. Sacrament meeting was just okay today. The speakers spoke on the atonement, but nobody really addressed why we even Celebrate Easter. I felt they kind of missed the mark, which is sad, cause there were a lot of people there today that have never been to church before. . . And there wasn’t even an Easter sermon.

2. I discovered a sneaky little trick today. I brought cracker “sandwiches” and wafer cookies to church today. You know, the crackers that have cheese or peanut butter smeared in between them. They were super cheap at Wal-mart and I thought they totally looked like Joshua type food. They were so AWESOME at keeping Joshua quiet. We didn’t have to take him out into the foyer once the whole hour. Absolutely amazing. Now, I just need to get a dust buster to throw in the diaper bag to clean up the mess they make. . .

3. We went over to Joseph’s Family’s house after church for an egg hunt and dinner. It was a lot of fun, minus the chilly wind. Last week we took Joshua to the park and he was totally freaked out by the grass. I was kinda wondering how he was going to react today. He was quite hesitant at first. But once his whimpering calmed down, he decided it wasn’t all that bad. He still wouldn’t crawl on it though. He preferred to stay right where he was at. Dinner was superb. I ate so much that I ended up with a mild tummy ache on the way home. That is quite uncommon for me.

4. So, my computer program hasn’t come in the mail yet, but I am already loving all the free digital stuff that I am finding online. TOTAL EYE CANDY! Really, if anyone has a printer and prefers to stick with the traditional scrap booking, they should download the free stuff and just print it to use. I am so excited to get started!

5. I ate a whole bag of Starburst Jellybeans by myself in less than a week. That is just wrong! Luckily, the darn things are only around once a year, so I guess that makes it okay. . .

6. Last week I bought Joseph some basketball/baggy/lounging shorts to wear while he is vegging out at home. They looked so comfortable that I decided I needed some too. And I actually found some that fit, believe it or not. Usually I am way unsuccessful when it comes to shopping in the men’s department for myself, so I was quite surprised. All I gotta say is, I LOVE THEM! They are so comfortable--and modest. I am totally wondering where they heck they were when I was pregnant.

(Note: Josh LOVES to play the piano. It is one of his favorite things to do. Today he decided to teach Benjamin how to play a duet after dinner. Of course, I HAD to snap some photos.)
7. I was thinking about the whole Easter story today, ironic, I know, and realized how an important role the Passover played into the crucifixion. I have never really thought about it before. If all the hoards of people hadn’t crowded into the city to celebrate the Passover, there might not have been all the pressure to crucify Him. It would have turned out so different. It is the same with the way Christ was born. If it weren’t for the Taxes, maybe Jesus would have been born at home, or at least somewhere a little more sanitary than a stable. As far as the Easter story goes, I don’t even think that half of the people who “celebrate” the holiday even know what the Passover is or what it represents. --and it is a key element in the story. . .

8. I totally forgot to bring more bread for the sacrament today and ended up eating a tortilla. . .it wasn’t quite the same.

9. I have an appointment to meet with the financial aid people at the Beauty College on Wednesday. Out of all the people that work at the school, the financial people are my least favorite cause they treat everyone just like a number. At least the teachers can recognize talent and hard work when they see it, but to the money people, we are just a statistic. That has always bothered me.

10. My house looks like it blew up. Too bad it didn’t happen for real. Grabbing the insurance money and running away is looking real appetizing about now. So, I guess I am going to have to restrain myself from being a computer hog tomorrow and do something about this mess. It will be nice when Josh is old enough to somewhat pick up after himself--even if I have to tell him a hundred times to do it. At least I won’t get cheerios stuck between my toes in the middle of the night and trip on the debris that he yanks off the table tops everyday. I am always amazed at the trail he leaves behind.
