A Weekend Review

Friday, I stayed home from school with the flu. I had a nasty fever that wouldn’t go away and body aches and chills. Not much fun. During the middle of the day, I was laying in bed and my arm was kind of hanging off the side. I was half awake when all the sudden here comes Joshua. He kissed my hand and started handing me all his toys. He was trying to make me feel better! It was the sweetest thing. I am so blessed to have such a sweet loving little boy. I wouldn’t trade him for the world.

Joshua is having a really difficult time with me going to school. He has totally caught on that I leave in the morning and am gone all day long. It totally breaks my heart when I have to leave in the morning and he just cries for me. This has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. But, hopefully, after I’m finished, this will bless our family.

We had a fun day on Saturday. We just spent the day chillin’ together. We strolled over to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things and stopped at the car wash before we headed back to town. Joshua totally freaked out when we got the car washed. It was worse than the vacuum cleaner. It was pretty funny, but kinda sad at the same time. He was strapped up in his car seat and I couldn’t climb back there to comfort him. On the way home, we went exploring on some of the dirt roads in Lucerne. I had no idea Lucerne Valley had train tracks. The roads were terrible, but kinda fun in our little Isuzu Rodeo. Joshua slept the whole time. Later, We went over to Joseph’s family’s house and had a barbeque. Cj and Krystal were up visiting and Rachel came over too. It was pretty fun. It was good to see everyone. And of course, Joshua was the life of the party. He is just too cute!

Church was crazy today. Joshua was grumpy and tired from going to bed late and getting up early. I fought with him for most of sacrament meeting before he fell asleep, just to have him wake up for the closing song. We didn't have a lot of kids in Primary today either, which was kind of nice. My counselor was able to fill in for the teacher that couldn't make it today, and our new teacher for the older class was here today too. I am so thankful for everyone that helps me out in there. It can get pretty stressful sometimes. We went home after primary was over cause Josh was a beast by then. There was no way he was gonna let me sit through Relief society. We went back over to the Davis household for lunch and to visit with CJ and Krstal a little bit more before they headed back home. Then we came home and took a three hour much needed nap! Yeah!!

A little later, we headed over to the McOwen's for dinner. Fried Chicken and mashed potatoes. It has been FOREVER since I have had fried chicken since I can't eat wheat. she made it out of rice flour and it was soo yummy. THANK YOU!!

Now, I'm gonna get ready for bed. This is gonna be a long week. I am gonna pre apply for the state board test on Tuesday, and I have a bunch of sewing to do for a lady-which is another story in itself. We might go to Vegas to visit my Fam this weekend too, for Mother's Day, if the week isn't too hectic. . .
