Grrrrr. This is one company that I am totally NOT fond of at the moment.
Two months ago, we went in to Blockbuster to rent a few movies and found out we had a late charge. That was grrrr number one since we always try to avoid that. So, the clerk told us that it would be cheaper to get the movie pass just for the month than to pay the late fee and get the videos we wanted to watch. We asked him three different times if it would cancel on its own or if we would have to come in an do it physically. He was quite adamant that we didn't need to come in and do it. It would FOR SURE cancel on it's own. So, we did it.
One month goes by, and low and behold, Blockbuster took money out of our account for the stupid movie pass. This was Grrrrr number two. So, I went in, told them what happened and they assured me that it was now canceled, but I couldn't get a refund since I waited too long to come in and tell them. How was I suppose to know that we got billed BEFORE we even got our bank statement? I was quite ticked, but glad that the stupid thing was "Officially" canceled.
So, after all that, imagine my OUTRAGE when I nonchalantly checked my bank balance a day or two ago, and found that those thieves did it again! They took money out of our account! AGAIN! Grrrr number three. So, since I drive right past Blockbuster on my way to work, I stopped on my way home yesterday (even though it was Sunday) to save on gas since gas is well above $3.00 a gallon here. The girl said that there was absolutely no evidence that it had been canceled, she couldn't give me my money back, and that her manager would have to call me in the morning. She also said that they have been having this problem a lot lately too, and she thinks its one of the newer employees that doesn't know what the heck he is doing.
So, this morning, Blockbuster called. Grrrrr number four. My stupid movie pass STILL wasn't canceled. She said it's not canceled until you get TWO receipts, and the girl only gave me ONE yesterday. How lame is that!? So, I have to go in today, which I didn't want to do, to cancel the stupid thing AGAIN and they will only reimburse me for only one month instead of the two. What a scam. I am pretty sure that Blockbuster just lost our business for good. I am a pretty nice person, but blockbuster has brought out the ugly side of me the last couple of days. I hate that I was lied to and treated like I was stupid for not knowing that I had to have 2 receipts to make things official. What other companies do that? If I were you, I would think twice about going to this movie joint. My goodness.

That so stinks... I have so many late fees at one blockbuster I can never go back! I agree with Jen Netflix is the best
What a pain... I despise incompetant retail policies, and I REALLY despise the incompetant people who run them!
