Tuesday Morning, Joshua and I went and had a picnic breakfast on the Mesa Temple grounds. It was absolutely beautiful after all the rain from the day before. Joshua had a great time splashing in all the puddles and attempting to go swimming in the reflective pools. This kid loves water! In fact, the other day while I was at work, Joe called me to say that while he thought Joshua was taking a nap, he was really in the Master Bathroom, filling up the tub and trying to wash all our clothes! Crazy things this kid does!
Joshua explored the grounds for nearly 2 hours before deciding he wanted to go into the visitor's center. Up until this point, I was taking photos of him like crazy, discovering new techniques on my camera. But when he first saw the Christus, I was stunned and didn't take any photos at all, even though that was when he was being the
cutest. I am so amazed that, not even being two years old yet, he knew who his Savior was. He ran right up to the statue and shouted CeCe! (His word for Jesus) and then he proceeded to point to Cece's nose and then his own. And then the ears, and the eyes. It was like Joshua made the great discovery that His Savior had a body of flesh and bones just like he did. The sister missionary and I, just sat there in silence and watched him make this important discovery. It's something that I will never forget. I feel so blessed to be this child's mother.
After all that running around, Joshua and I took a short nap. Then I decided to be adventurous and take Joshua to the movies since he's never been before. I was a little worried that he would be fussy and cranky and I'd have to take him out and miss the whole thing. So, I decided to take him to see Enchanted since it's part cartoon and part film. He loved it! He even clapped his hands after the movie was over. He got a little restless half way through the movie, but after I pulled some snacks out of my Barney/Mommy bag, he was fine. I had a lot of fun today!
